After-School Program

Extra Awesome After-School Tutoring and Recreation Program runs on Wednesdays from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Regiopolis Notre Dame High School.  First session is on  September 27.  This fall Extra Awesome is partnering with Music Mates through the generous funding from Community Foundations of Kingston and Area. 

Children with Down Syndrome and their siblings in the elementary and highschool grade levels have the opportunity to have academic support, followed by fun, physical & musical activity.  This program supports children on a 1:1 basis with University student volunteers and overseen by an Professional Educator.

Programs - Swim Squad

Swim Squad

Swim Squad runs on SUNDAYS FROM 1-2 PM at the Boys and Girls Club ( Frontenac Mall).  The first class is on Sunday September 24.

Swim Squad is for children with Down Syndrome and their siblings across the age span.  Children are provided with 1:1 swim instruction by university student volunteers.

The cost for the fall session is $20 per child.

Extra Awesome On-The-Town

This is program for children 10 years old and older. Children & Teens participate in activities and events in the community with our volunteers. Activities in the past have included: Cooking classes at Lablaws, Ice skating in Springer Market, Putt and Blast, and activities on Queen's Campus. Details to be announced when activities are planned.
